The BDR Director General Mr Mainul Islam has assured his BSF counterpart Mr Raman Srivastav of some concrete steps in the days to come to nab the remaining top leaders of various North East based insurgent outfits still active inside Bangladesh. This also means that the happy days for the likes of Ranjit Debbarma, supremo of ATTF seems to be finally be over.

It may be mentioned here that the DG level talks between BSF and BDR is going on at present in New Delhi. BDR DG also assured of wiping off the remaining camps of the various insurgent outfits in different parts of Bangladesh. It may be mentioned here that BDR remained silent recently when Bangladesh army launched all out offensive against the rebels in CHT, Bangladesh. This was seen as unintentional as in the meantime the BDR top brass as well as rank and file were still to come to terms with the Pilkhana carnage, that took place excactly one year ago. The Bangladesh government also proposes to rename BDR . Latest reports said, both sides have agreed to make sure that the bonhomie trickels down to the field level . This will be done in order to make sure that there is no longer lack of communication and misunderstanding .
