The ruling CPI(M) that has already completed the initial round of campaigning for the TTAADC polls has decided to organize a central rally on April 4 next at stable ground. This rally is expected to give the final push for the party help remain in power in Khumulang. A statement issued by the party has asked cross sections of the party comrades o launch a full fledged drive to ensure that the party maintains its 100 percent winning streak in TTAADC . In the last TTAADC polls the party had won in all the 28 seats. This was achieved due to vertical split in the anti – Left votes.

Both INPT and Congress had put up candidates on their own in all the 28 seats. As a direct result CPI(M) won all the seats even as Congress and INPT came a poor second in 14 seats each. After the results it was seen that the combined votes polled by the Congress and INPT candidates was more than that polled by CPI(M), its Left Front constituents and NSPT in 12 seats. This time the CPI(M) is all set to face a tough challenge from the Congress – INPT combine. Both parties have started seat sharing talks. In the run up to the April four rally another rally will take place on March 12 next too, according to the statement.
