The Tripura government has signed a MoU with the Unique Identification Authority of India, for implementing the UID project in the state. The MoU was signed in the UID head office in the morning today. The MoU with the Government of Tripura was signed betweenMs. Divya Prasad, ADG, UIDAI and Mr. Anindya Bhattacharya, Joint Director Planning (P&C), Government of Tripura in the presence of Mr. Davinder Kumar, DDG, UIDAI. It may be mentioned here that the state government in order to enhance efficiency in delivery of government benefits and services through accurate identification of beneficiaries and to have uniform standards and processes for verification and identification of beneficiaries, has set up a State level Cabinet Committee on UID Implementation under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Tripura Mr S K Panda to oversee the implementation of the UID project in the state.
