Amul finds feasibility in increasing milk production in Tripura

Responding to the advice of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, the Amul Milk Company has found the feasibility of increasing milk production in the Northeastern states of Tripura. Chief Minister on Wednesday held a review meeting with the visiting team of Amul company at the secretariat office. "The official team of Amul is in our state for data collection,"adding the Chief Minister claimed, "Our government is working to generate an annual turnover of around Rs. 11000 crore from milk production and selling."

The Amul team today made a visit to different milk diaries existing in this state to find out the feasibility of inking understandings over increasing the state's milk production. "This can set a very good example and inspiration for rest of the states in the Northeastern region of the country," Mr. Deb said. The Chief Minister also said,

"We can comeback from the milk deficiency in this state by providing 10,000 cows to 5000 families through loan." However, this shall also bring good earnings for the poorer section, he said."If I give 10,000 cows to 5000 families they'll start earning in 6 months," adding to this Deb said, "Once the data collection process is complete, I hope the Amul company shall pave the way for us in increasing milk production."
