Non-affiliated nursing college in Tripura deprived students from getting semester result

Students of Tripura Sundari Nursing Institute deprived from their examination results for the last one month, on Monday sat for a protest in front of the Tripura Central University at Agartala and demanded for an immediate solution to the problem and publish their result of 1st semester's final year examination. A serious allegation was brought up against the Nursing institute is running of not having affiliation and registration from the central university.

As the serious allegation was brought up against the Tripura Sundari Nursing Instritute of not having affiliation and registration from the central university, despite which the deprived students were provided admission to the college and made them sat for the examinations. The students who were deprived from the examination results unlike other nursing colleges of this state staged a protest infront of the Tripura central university which denied of affiliating the college of not fulfilling the criteria. The agitated students on Monday alleged that the college has simply cheated by assuring them of having affiliation during the admission session.

The Tripura Sundari college of Nursing earlier filed a case against the Tripura Central University of not providing them with the affiliation, following which the High court has directed the University to allow them sit for their examination and publish the result like others. The former Vice-Chancellor of the university Dr. Arunadoy Saha who moved on Monday in support of th deprived students appealed the university and the college authority to get their problems sorted out soon and relieve the innocent students.

Meantime the registrar general of the Tripura Central university Shannit Deb Ray while being asked replied that the University has been following the verdict of the High court. he later questioned that how could the university provide affiliation to such college which has no proper infrastructure as was supposed to be to provide better teachings to the students.

However, the state education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, with whose intervention the agitation of the students withdrawn has assured of providing all possible support for the sake of better future of the deprived students. However, the students of Tripura Sundari College of nursing had earlier knocked the door state ministry in demand of early sollution of the problem of the college and university and get their examination result publish at the earliest. It is worthy to mention here that the Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb earlier directed the state health director to find out the reality behind the deprivation of the students.
