Fake currency seized, 2 youth sent to PC

Agartala, July 2:  SDJM Court Sonamura sent two youth to 7 days police remand in connection with fake Indian currency case yesterday. It was said accused persons namely Nazrul Islam (22) son of Fajar Ali and Billal Hossen (20) son of Abdul Haque both of Boxanagar visited the house of Achiram Nama (36), son of Gopal Ch. Nama at Valuarchar, Madhyapara under Kalamchoura police station for purchasing cattle heads. At the time of money transaction they gave Rs.10,000 (ten thousand) Indian fake currency to Achiram Nama.

Mouchak draws vital match, Jewels defeats UBST

Agartala, July 2: In the B Division League Football at Umakanta Ground here, Mouchak yesterday drew the easy match losing three vital points against Friends Union. The whole match was in favour of Mouchak but luck did not prefer them for which they had to satisfy with only one point. Coming to the last few minutes of the match, Rabindra Debbarma, Subhan Singh Jamatia attacked frequently but could not push the ball inside the goal box.  Shib Sadhan Jamatia, Banabir Kalai of Mouchak and Badal Dhanuk of Friends saw yellow cards in the match yesterday.

CM inaugurates Agartala city center

Agartala, July 2: Chief Minister Manik Sarkar inaugurated first of its kind city center in the heart of capital Agartala yesterday. National Building Construction Company Ltd (NBCC) built the building at a cost of Rs. 2126.91 lakhs on a land of 11,170 sq meters. With a number of facilities like parking area, exhibition hall, conference hall, shops, restaurants, art gallery, luminaries, panorama, auditorium, lifts and sewerage systems, the three storied building will start catering services to the people of Agartala soon.

Free vaccination camps by JRH

Agartala, July 1: With the initiative of Jirania Rural Hospital, a number of free vaccination camps for the pregnant mothers and children will come up at 36 different places under Jirania R D Block in the month of July.  These camps are open to all pregnant mothers and children of rural areas and will start from morning 9.00 onwards everyday.
