The teachers of the state should be more responsible in
their duties
and should take active part in mobilizing
education towards the betterment of students community,
said chief minister Manik Sarkar while addressing in a
felicitation function held at Town Hall here today. Mr.
Sarkar unhesitatingly said that the present teachers are
not giving the best performance while teaching in

TGTA state level
conference to begin on September 6 |

Tripura Government Teachers Association (TGTA) will
organize their 63rd annual state conference at Town Hall
here on from September 6 to September 9. Briefing a
press conference at TGTA office, H B Road here, general
secretary Amal Chatterjee highlighted the programmes
would be taken up during conference. He said the first
day of the conference would be kept for a discussion
titled ‘No Commercialization of Education, Union
Government Should Take the Entire Responsibility of
Education Sector’. |

State body of AAKS starts campaigning

State branch of Aam Aadmi Ka Sipahi (AAKS), a voluntary
organization has started awareness campaigning in state.
As a part of it, a team of State Youth Congress visited
a number of Gram Panchayats under Hejamara R D Block and
collected information regarding NREGA on last September
2. State Co coordinator of AAKS, Santanu Deb, vice
president Tapan Sinha, Secretary Rahul Saha and youth
leader Arabindo Datta were few of the team visited that
day. The team also interacted with common rural people
on NREGA and heard problems of the people. |
